Posh and secretive 31. maí 2006 14:30 101 Hótel, hverfisgata 10, Reykjavik 101 Hotel, a member of Design Hotels (insert murmurs of approval here) is an upscale boutique hotel in the heart of Reykjavík's thriving downtown. Well, that's essentially what the marketing material says. It also says that the hotel's interior "communicates refined elegance, a stylish sense of comfort prevading throughout". Heck, there's even a posh gym and Jacuzzi in the basement. The adjoining restaurant and bar is certainly always buzzing with Reykjavík's beautiful people (or at least the ones who can afford a 1300 krónur cocktail), and the hotel regularly makes travel magazines' lists of best places to stay. I cannot personally verify this, however, as when I went to see the rooms for review purposes, I was curtly told that the staff was unable to show rooms and given a brochure instead. If someone is trendy and important enough to stay here, please write us at reykjavík.com and let us know what is behind those carefully guarded doors. - Eliza Reid Hverfisgata 10, 101 Reykjavík Accommodation News in English Mest lesið Sautján milljóna króna greiðslan vekur hneykslan Innlent Dvaldi lengi í Engey áður en hún synti til baka í flasið á hvalaskoðunarskipi Innlent Þrettán þúsund krónur fyrir nótt í tjaldi Innlent Óvenjulegi tölvupósturinn birtur: Spurði dómarann hvaða starfsmann hann ætti að reka fyrir jólin Innlent Dósent við HÍ „óskaði þess að árásarmaðurinn hefði hitt“ Innlent Diljá Mist segir hræsni einkenna íslenska femínista Innlent Íslensk kona og fjölskylda hennar á sjúkrahúsi eftir árás á Krít Innlent Hinn látni í Suðursveit ungur pólskur maður Innlent Stórhættulegur framúrakstur á Holtavörðuheiði Innlent Íslendingur á sextugsaldri fannst látinn í Taílandi Innlent
