Nine out ten Icelanders, from the age of 16-74, use the Internet. Most of these users use the Net daily, as stated by the Statistics Department of Iceland. Home users of broadband connections such as ADSL have risen from 26% in the year 2002, and are now 82% in 2006. Individuals that shop on Internet have reached 32% as of last March. The most common items that are bought are accomodation and flights. -mld
