Eggert Magnússon, director of the board of teh Icelandic Football Association is leading a group of investors who plan to purchase British football club West Ham, according to British press this morning. The group's offer is for 75 million British pounds.

Included in that number is the takeover of the club's twenty million pound debt. It is not clear who the investors backing Skúlason are, although he has strong connections with investment company Straumur-Burðarás. West Ham also owns prestigious properties in London which may interest the investment company.
