Halldór Ásgrímsson, Prime Minister and leader of the Progressive Party, and Guðni Ágústsson, Minister of Agriculture and deputy head of the Progressive Party reached a full agreement last night at the Prime Minister's residence.
According to Morgunblaðið newspaper, they will be making a proposition at a Party meeting today that a Party conference should be held in the third week of August, to vote for a new Progressive Party leader.
