Söngvarinn David Bowie er látinn eftir baráttu við krabbamein. Hann var 69 ára að aldri. Þetta staðfestir talsmaður hans í samtali við fjölmiðilinn The Hollywood Reporter.

Nú keppast stjörnurnar um allan heim að votta honum og fjölskyldu hans virðingu sína og má sjá ótal tíst um þennan merka mann.

David Bowie er talinn vera einn áhrifamesti tónlistarmaður allra tíma en ferill hans spannaði rúmlega 40 ár. Bowie skaust upp á stjörnuhimininn árið 1972 með plötu sinni The Rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.
